J.E. Shekell, Inc. was founded in 1978 by John E. Shekell. From a one van heating and air conditioning shop, he expanded into the electrical and plumbing business. In the ’80s, John Shekell took their service one step further into the future by acquiring George Koch Sons’ service center. This purchase made Shekell the largest HVAC service company in the Tri-State Area. From service and new installation, Shekell stepped into the arena of design/build projects and plan/specification contracting. In 2000, Shekell purchased WSC Associates a well established engineering firm in Evansville, Indiana. The new subsidiary opened up a full design capability for Shekell, making him a leading presence in the area. Reflecting back, John Shekell contributes the success of J.E. Shekell, Inc. to his customers, loyal employees, extensive technical training and a proven track record showing safety as one of the top priorities.
