Meet Our Team

John is an Evansville, Indiana native and currently resides locally with his wife Ruthie. They have two children and two grandchildren. He graduated from North High School and then attended Electrical and HVAC Vocational School before being drafted into the Army. After his term in the service he completed his Associates Degree in Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. Following a successful technical and management career in the HVAC industry he started J.E. Shekell, Inc. in August of 1978 and brought the MCA to Evansville in the early 1980′s.
Throughout the next 29 years John was a member and held positions in many associations. John has been a member of RSES since 1978, ASHRAE since 1981 and past Board Member for the Indiana MCA Service Contractors. He has held past President positions for the Southern Indiana MCA and SMACNA Evansville Chapter. He has been a past Trustee on the Health and Welfare Fund for Sheet Metal workers in the State of Indiana and the Evansville chapter of SMACNA. He is a past Chairman for the Mechanical Contractors Negotiations Committee for Plumbing & Steamfitters Local #136 and a past Chairman for the Sheet Metal Negotiations Committee Local #20. John served as a past Capitol Improvement Chairman for the Evansville Country Club from 2002-04.
John holds a Refrigeration Master License for Evansville, Steamfitter Master License for Evansville, Heating and Air Conditioning Master License for Evansville, HVAC Master License for the State of Kentucky, HVAC Master License for Indianapolis and Boiler Contractors License for the State of Kentucky. John presently holds a position on the Evansville HVAC Board Exam Committee.

Kevin is an Evansville, Indiana native graduating from Reitz high School in may of 1988 where he then came to work full time at J.E. Shekell Inc. as a residential HVAC installer for 1 year. He then became a service technician while attending Ivy-Tech where he earned his Associates degree in Applied Science in Industrial Technology.
After working as a service technician for approximately 8 years he started as a residential HVAC salesman, where he remained for three years. He was then asked to become a commercial industrial HVAC/sheet metal estimator and project manager. While working in this department he attended Oakland City University where he earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Organizational Management.
After working in the commercial/industrial HVAC/sheet metal department for three years he became the Vice President of Construction and took on the duties of managing the construction arm of the company. He completed his Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix in December of 2006.
He has been married for 12 years and has two children. He was the president of the local Evansville SMACNA chapter from 2004-2006.
In January of 2009 Kevin was named president of JE Shekell.

Greg is an Evansville, Indiana native graduating from North High School. He attended Ivy Tech College training in Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. Greg joined J. E. Shekell, Inc. in 1979 as a Field Service Technician. In 1986 Greg became the Site Manager at J. E. Shekell, Inc. General Electric Mt. Vernon location, in 1989 he became the HVAC Service Administrator in Evansville and in 1995 was promoted to Vice President and Operations Manager.
Greg is married with three children and very active in the community as a board member of Ronald McDonald House Charities Ohio Valley Chapter and Board Member of Scott Civic Club. He was a former President of the local chapter of RSES, a former Chairman of the Service Contractor’s Association of Indiana and a former Chairman of Koch Air’s Blue Ribbon Dealer Committee. He stays very active in all aspects of the HVAC and Mechanical service and contracting industry.

Scott is a lifelong resident of Evansville. He graduated in 1985 from the University of Southern Indiana with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. In 2001, Scott joined J.E. Shekell, Inc. as the Chief Financial Officer. Previously he had worked for two publicly traded financial institutions as well as two public accounting firms. His primary professional focus has been on financial institutions and the construction industry. He is both a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Bank Auditor.
Scott is active in many professional and civic organizations. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts, the Indiana CPA Society, and is a board member of the Construction Financial Management Association. Scott is Treasurer for the Central High School “C” Men’s Club and is a member and past President of the Green River Kiwanis Club. Scott and his wife Karen have three children.
