Purpose/Scope of Position

PIPING & PLUMBING ESTIMATOR / PROJECT MANAGER
Purpose/Scope of Position
J.E. Shekell is seeking a full-time Piping & Plumbing Estimator / Project Manager to join our team. This individual will prepare estimates and proposal for piping and plumbing opportunities. Upon award, this individual will finalize contracts, buy out materials & assign subcontractors for the project The individual will monitor job progress, provide technical and commercial support, administer requests for information, submittals, and billings. The Estimator / Project Manager will develop and maintain long term customer relationships to foster open communications and develop future work.
Position Information:
- As Piping & Plumbing Project Manager you will be utilizing your experience and will bid on exciting, challenging and rewarding projects for commercial / industrial piping & plumbing projects.
- Provide material, equipment, and labor estimates for Plumbing and Mechanical Projects.
- Present prepared estimate using advanced material takeoff software.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and bid strategy meetings. when requested.
- Review construction plans and/or renderings and anticipates the piping & plumbing system needs. well enough to develop construction cost estimates.
- Review subcontractor work scopes and contact subcontractors & vendors to secure quotes & estimates.

In this position, the Plumber will be responsible for all aspects of the installation, maintenance, inspection, operation, and repair of the plumbing systems for our residential customers.
