Evaluating your energy usage and making small changes can help lower your energy bills. A Home Energy Assessment from J.E. Shekell is just one tool in a suite of programs available as part of your energy service from Vectren.
Scheduling is easy
Schedule your appointment by completing the form below. The assessment takes 1-2 hours, and we will work with you to find a time to accommodate your busy schedule.
Homes built after 2014 and homes who have had a home energy assessment within the past 3 years are not eligible for an assessment but may still qualify for the Residential Rebate Program.
Your Home Energy Assessment
At no cost, an Energy Efficiency Technician from J.E. Shekell will do a walkthrough of your home to understand its energy use and the efficiency of your heating and cooling equipment.
Receive energy-saving products
During the assessment, you may receive energy-saving products, such as high-efficiency shower heads, faucet aerators and pipe insulation.
Energy-saving products and services you may receive include:
- Kitchen aerators
- Bathroom aerators
- Filter whistle
- LED bulbs
- Energy saving showerhead (standard or handheld)
- Pipe wrap
- Water heater temperature setback
- Smart thermostat
- Tier 1 advanced power strip
- Duct sealing (requires minimum co-pay)
Get a customized energy report
After the assessment, the Energy Efficiency Technician will give you a personalized energy report with a prioritized actionable plan for increasing comfort and saving energy in your home.
If your home is recommended for additional weatherization upgrades (insulation, air sealing, etc.) a rebate is available through Vectren’s Residential Rebate Program (www.vectren.com/SaveEnergy)
