A statement from Nu-Calgon:

Center for Disease and Control (CDC) is responding to an outbreak of respiratory disease caused by a novel (new) coronavirus that was first detected in China and which has now been detected in 60 locations internationally, including in the United States. The disease it causes has been named “coronavirus disease 2019” (“COVID-19”).

According to CDC, the COVID-19 spreads largely by:
Person-to-person spread – The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person. Between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet). Through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs.

Spread from contact with infected surfaces or objects – It may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes, but this is not thought to be the main way the virus spreads.
Nu-Calgon provides the following products that can help reduce the spread of similar viruses.

This product has demonstrated effectiveness against viruses similar to 2019-nCoV on hard non-porous surfaces. This product is listed on the EPA’s Registered Antimicrobial Products for Use Against Novel Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, the Cause of COVID-19. This product is marketed with the intended use for HVAC system.

Spray Nine® Cleaner and Disinfectant:
Spray Nine has demonstrated effectiveness against viruses similar to Novel 2019 Coronavirus COVID-19 on hard, non-porous surfaces. Therefore, Spray Nine can be used against Novel 2019 Coronavirus COVID-19 when used in accordance with the directions for use against Norovirus/Feline Calicivirus, Rhinovirus Type 37, and Poliovirus on hard, non-porous surfaces.
